Sale or Return

Minimise the Risks Associated With Used Equipment

There are many benefits of buying used processing equipment, the main ones being the money you can save and the immediate availability of it. Despite these benefits, some engineers have still never considered used equipment due to the potential risks associated with it, including whether the machine will be right for their process. What happens if it’s not quite right, and what if the unit needs to be modified to be suitable for your process?

We have been buying and selling used process equipment from our UK site for over 25 years and can offer our customers a Sale or Return option on many of the the items we have in stock. This allows engineers the chance to take hold of a piece of equipment for an agreed period of time to confirm its suitability for their process, before making the decision whether to purchase it or not. If it’s not right, they simply return it back to us. Make the process of buying your used processing equipment easy and risk free.

The best way to understand how Perry can help you is to see how we have helped other companies.

A health food producer got in contact with us as they were looking to increase capacity and wanted to investigate alternative forms of filtration. They were already using a decanter and disc stack separator for the filtration of hemp oil. They inspected a Schenk ZHF-SR10KL SR10KL stainless steel pressure leaf filter which was located at our site in Newton Aycliffe and decided to purchase the unit on a 2 week sale or return basis. During this time they hired a former Schenk employee to assist them with the trial.

The unit was too efficient in terms of filtration and was unsuitable for their application. They returned the unit and decided to purchase a larger decanter centrifuge instead. Again this was supplied on a 2 week sale or return basis and shipped to a specialist company first to test run prior to installation. The unit ran very well and was purchased at the end of the sale or return period. They have since purchased a new disc stack centrifuge to match the increased capacity of the decanter centrifuge.
